FAQ

Questions people ask

Straight answers about repairs, free pickup and the machines we sell. Don't see yours? Just ask.

Do you take machines that don't run?

Yes, and those are some of our favorites. A mower that sat a season too long, a snowblower that quit mid-storm, a trimmer that won't catch: running or not, if it's small engine equipment, we'd like to see it.

Send a quick pickup request with what it is, and a photo if you have one. We'll take it from there.

Is pickup really free?

Really free. We come to you, load it up ourselves and haul it away. No fee, no catch.

If we can get it running again, it goes to a new home instead of the curb.

Do I need to be home?

Not at all. As long as we can reach the machine, leave it by the garage or the driveway and tell us where in your request. We handle the rest.

What do you work on?

Push and self-propelled mowers, riding mowers and lawn tractors, zero-turns, single- and two-stage snowblowers, tillers, generators, pressure washers, chainsaws, trimmers and blowers, go-karts and ATVs. Most brands, from big-box store models to dealer brands.

When should I get my mower or snowblower serviced?

Before you need it. Snowblowers are best done in early fall, before the first storm. Mowers are best in late winter or early spring, before the grass takes off.

Our service packages have set prices you see up front, and booking takes a couple of minutes.

How long does a repair take?

It depends on the job and on parts. A tune-up is quick; a machine waiting on a part takes longer.

Either way, you'll know the timing when we send your quote, and nothing starts until you approve it.

When do I pay for a repair?

When the work is done, not before. Your quote shows the total up front. If we find anything beyond it, we stop and ask before doing more, so the price you approve is the price you pay.

What if my machine isn't worth fixing?

Then we'll tell you straight. Our no-start diagnosis is a flat fee, and if you go ahead with the repair within 30 days, the fee comes off the bill.

If the repair doesn't make sense, we'll say so, and we can haul the machine away for free.

Can I start a machine before I buy it?

Please do. We deliver it to you, and you start it, run it and look it over in your own driveway before you pay. We'd rather you see it work with your own eyes than take our word for it.

What does the 30-day guarantee cover?

If a machine you bought from us won't start or run within 30 days, we make it right: we repair it free, swap it for a comparable machine, or refund you, whichever fits the problem.

After the 30 days we're still here. We'll fix it at our normal service prices, with a written quote first, like any other job.
